The X1Ri-64 incorporates several technological advances :-

• Intel® Extended Memory Technology 64 (EM64T). This allows for simultaneous processing of 32-bit and 64-bit applications, and allows for addressing of up to 64GB system memory. Best used in conjunction with Microsoft Windows XP Professional x64 Edition or Microsoft Windows Vista.

• Execute Disable Bit (EDB). A CPU feature that can improve protection against a certain class of malicious attacks. Provides on-chip antiviral protection, The Execute Disable Bit allows the processor to classify areas in memory where application code can execute.

• Intel® Enhanced Speedstep Technology (EIST). A CPU feature that can improve dramatically reduce system noise and operating temperature when the system is idle.
