Introducing the Xworks X20i-64

The X20i-64 is a high performance workstation platform incorporating Intel® dual Xeon® 5400 processors. It's ideal for the most demanding CAD and animation applications including analysis work, digital content creation, CAD, MCAD, electronic design automation to name a few.

The standard chassis is a genuine Intel® platform (Akasa option available) that is designed specifically to accommodate Intel's dual Xeon® architecture and is extremely reliable under full load conditions. There's the option of an additional backplane (supporting either Serial-ATA or SAS drives) and 6 hard drive hot swap drive bays (as shown above) for applications requiring RAID support. Note that all internal fans are replaced with special silent fans to keep the noise levels to an absolute minimum.

• Increases network performance, with lower processor overhead with Intel® Advanced I/O Technology.

1333MHz, and now 1600MHz system bus capability.
• Increased bus bandwidth (100% greater than 677 [1333] and 800MHz [1600]) and increased system bandwidth.

PCI Express* X-16 graphics
• Next generation graphics interface, delivers 4.0 GB/second of graphics bandwidth per direction directly into the Intel® S5000X/5400X chipset (total bandwidth 8 GB/second), for twice the bandwidth of AGP 8X

PCI Express* I/O
• Serial I/O technology provides a direct connection between the MCH chipset and PCI Express* component/adapters with bandwidth up to 4 GB/second on each PCI Express x8 interface.
• PCI Express offers higher bandwidth, lower latency and fewer I/O bottlenecks than PCI-X
